The UPC Entertainment Group will be hosting numerous Training Camps around the country each year. These camps will vary in duration and content. This page will contain the camps listed by the dates they will be held. There will be updates to this page whenever a camp is scheduled
AUGUST 17-20, 2006:
ABOUT: This will be the first ever training camp that will include a complete package. This camp is designed for any Female or Male Fitness Competitor or Model that is serious about maximizing their potential in the Entertainment Industry. UPC will be casting at this camp for specific clients. This camp is for new and experienced model and fitness talent. Due to the nature of this camp, we will be offering Six distinct packages from which to choose. The camp will cover the following:

Wednesday, August 16:

Business of Modeling - What the business of modeling is about. Is this right for you, your responsibilities, agents & management, keys to success, modeling scams.

Business of Modeling - Interview process, work ethic, training, magazine work, how to turn your profession into a tax deduction.
Convention Work - How the convention business works, how to obtain clients and keep them, how to make this a full time job, different type of work at conventions.

Photography - A complete guide to the photography world, how the business of photographers works, your role and rights as a model, choosing a photographer, preparing to be photographed, do's and dont's

Hair and Make-up - A hands on approach to maximize your own hair & make-up routine, what is right for you, what is right for the job, proper techniques, proper procedures when working with professional artist, do's and dont's, practical session.

Posing - Hands on approach to posing properly for photos and in front of clients.
Demonstrations and class participation. Each attendee will practice posing and will receive proper instruction with critique.

Speaking - Academic portion of proper speaking techniques, how to present yourself, how to capture and keep the audience, what works best for you, knowing the topic.

Public Speaking - Each camper will get in front of class and read their script, a constructive critique will be given after each presentation. All campers will be on video with the rest of the class. You will receive a copy of this video for review of yourself and the others.

Runway - Verbal and practical presentation of proper runway and stage technique. Runway model and fitness model technique will be demonstrated. Each camper will have an opportunity to practice these techniques on the stage, critiques will be given. This will also be on video that you will receive.

Packaging - All about comp cards, portfolios, marketing yourself, finding the right resources and how to use them.

Saturday, August 19:

Nutrition - Will cover micronutrients, macronutrients, how to shop, how to prepare, combining foods, what is right for you, determining your calories and calories in the foods you eat, supplementation, glycemic index, sugars, alcohol, addictions.

Conditioning - Will cover aerobic, anaerobic, static, strength and flexibility training, also the truth about real fat loss training. There will be practical training techniques demonstrated.

Photoshoot (for portfolio) - You will have different options to choose from: fashion, fitness, swimwear, custom, head, partial, full. There will be 4 different looks shot.

Campers that are attending for package 3 or are interested in competing in a Figure competition will have a separate portion for stage presentation and posing.
6pm-7pm -
Optional Bodyfat Assessment Testing - This is an optional segment for anyone wishing to be tested for a full body assessment. The test will measure the amount of bodyfat, muscle weight, bone weight and water weight. It will also give you an overall assessment of you BMI and BMR. You will receive a complete computerized readout. This test will be performed by use of a BIA machine. You will receive literature about this in your registration package. Family and friends may also sign up for this testing. The cost will be $65.00

Ultimate Fitness Skills - Campers will participate in the Ultimate Fitness Skills required for the Nova Fitness Competition. Rules and regulations will be discussed prior to the practical session. Proper techniques and training for the skills will be discussed and demonstrated after the skills portion.

Obstacle Course - Obstacle Course training, including technique, rules and training for campers that will be competing in the Nova Fitness Competition. After training, each camper will have a chance to run the complete course two times.

ALL THE PACKAGES HAVE BEEN SOLD OUT FOR THIS CAMP. WE ARE OFFERING AN ADDITIONAL NUTRITION AND CONDITIONING SEMINAR ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, AT THE SAME HOTEL. THIS SEMINAR WILL LAST FROM 9AM-5PM. THE PRICE OF THE SEMINAR WILL ALSO INCLUDE A COMPLIMENTARY BIA ASSESSMENT. THE COST IS $199.00 (THERE IS ONLY ROOM FOR 20 PARTICIPANTS)
Package 1: This is the complete package. It includes all seminars, workshops, photo sessions, conditioning, nutrition, fitness skills and obstacle course training. You will receive a complete training manual, a photo disc of all photos taken, a video tape of all segments we tape and a one year membership to UPC Entertainment.

Package 2: This package includes all seminars, workshops, photo sessions, conditioning and nutrition courses. You will receive a complete training manual, a photo disc of all photos taken, a video tape of all segments we tape. You do NOT participate in the fitness skills or obstacle course training or receive the one year UPC membership. (Your program will include all segments Thursday thru Saturday) Cost: $699.00 SOLD OUT.
Package 3: This package includes the conditioning and nutrition seminars, the fitness posing segment, fitness skills and obstacle course training programs. You will receive a manual that will include the seminars and training programs you will attend. (Your program will include some segments covered on Saturday and all on Sunday)

Package 4: This package includes the fitness skills and obstacle course training only. You will receive handouts pertaining to the rules, regulations and training drills required for this program. (Your program will include all segments on Sunday)

Package 5: This package includes the fitness skills only. You will receive handouts pertaining to the rules, regulations and training drills required for this program. (Your program will be on Sunday only)

WHAT TO BRING: The following is a list of items to bring to the camp. Outfits are optional for each segment.
For Classroom - Something Casual and warm (it might get cold in classroom), notebook for notes, writing materials, snacks and water.
For Photoshoots - Business outfit, swinwear (one or two piece), fitness wear, fashion wear, anything you might feel comfortable taking photos in. (note; we will not accept any outfit that is too reveling (If you have concerns, please contact us first), hair and make-up products you normally use.
For Posing - Women should bring a pair of high heels, men should bring dress shoes. Outfits should be comfortable.
Fitness Competitor Swimwear - Must be a two piece swimsuit with at least a 3-4 inch wide back. Must bring heels for presentation.
For Fitness Skills & Obstacle Course - Should bring fitness outfit, must have a tight top for fitness skills. It is best to wear long workout pants for Obstacle Course due to rope burns. Tennis shoes, gloves and tape for wrapping.
Cameras - You may bring a personal camera if you wish. You may only take pictures of yourself during any classroom seminars or workshops. Any group photos must be done outside of the classroom. (we respect everyone's right to privacy)
Fun Clothes - You will be in Las Vegas, and will probably be going out on the town. Bring some comfortable clothes for the things you might be doing. Remember, this camp is in August, the temperature is usually over 100 in the summer, but it is keep cold inside the Casino's.
TRAVEL INFO: The following is information about the location, hotel and any travel requirements for this camp.
Hotel Info: Holiday Inn Express Las Vegas South, 5760 Polaris Ave., Las Vegas, NV
Room Rates: $109.00 per night plus tax.
Airpot: Las Vegas, McCarran Airport.
This hotel will be used as the host hotel. All camp activity including the obstacle course and fitness skills training will be held here. This hotel is only a half mile from the strip and four miles from the airport. It includes a free continental breakfast and free shuttle service to the strip.
REGISTER: Due to the participation required by the campers and the amount of photoshoots that will be taken at this camp, we are limiting the seating to the first 50 (fifty) registrants for the modeling classes. There is a limit to 20 (twenty) participants that are interested in the Fitness and Figure training which includes the Nutrition, Conditioning, Figure Posing, Obstacle Course and Fitness Skills training segments.
