GALAXY FIGURE EVENTS
DIVISIONS:
The new Galaxy Figure Competition will consist of two categories and two divisions.
Each competitor must compete in the Swimwear and Fitnesswear rounds. Competitors may compete in either the 18 and over age division (open division) or the 35 and over division (master division). Any competitor competing in the 35 and over division can NOT enter the open division. All competitors must bring proof of age to compete.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Competitor Guidelines:
A.) Any and all competitors of a Galaxy Figure sanctioned competition must adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by UPC. UPC has the sole and final authority for any and all decisions pertaining to individual member qualification.
B.) A competitor must have a current membership and be in good standings with Galaxy Figure. The membership fee will usually be included in the entry fee of a competition. The membership fee will be accessed to each competition entered.
C.) All Galaxy Figure competitions are by invitation only. All members must adhere to all rules and regulations to be invited to a competition. All entry deadlines and event rules must be met for invitation.
D.) All individual members must adhere to good sportsmanship on and off the stage. Members must also maintain good ethical standings in their community. Galaxy Figure is strongly concerned with creating positive community role models and expect their members to act accordingly. Any member giving false information on their entry form, biography sheet or breaking any of the above mentioned rules, will immediately be suspended from Galaxy Figure.
E.) All competitors will be given verbal and practical instruction on proper procedure and safety features before competing in the Galaxy Figure Competitions.
F.) All competitors will be given the opportunity to practice on the official stage prior to the event.
G.) All competitors must sign a release of liability form before being allowed to enter any competition area. No other person(s) may be allowed in the competition area of the event. This must be strictly enforced. Any competitor allowing any person(s) in the competition area will be immediately disqualified from the entire event.
H.) All competitors will compete against other competitors in their division only. Each division will run in it's entirety before the next division begins.
Competition Rules:
Swimwear and Fitnesswear:
A.) Competition Outfits
1.)
Swimwear - All competitors will wear a two-piece bathing suit. No thongs or half-backs are allowed. There must be at least a three inch back to the suit. Competitors must wear some form of heel shoe. Heel height does not matter.
2.) Fitnesswear - All competitors will wear a two piece fitness outfit. The bottoms will be fitness shorts and the top will be one that shows the abs. No long pants, cut off pants or tops are permitted.
(All outfits must be approved before going on stage)
C.) Jewelry should be keep to a minimum. Tattoos and body piercing are not deducted for.
D.) Each competitor will come to center stage one at a time. When at center stage, the head judge will direct the competitor to do quarter turns to the right. The competitor will complete three turns, facing the judges at the end. The competitor will be judged on the following:
1.) Muscular Development -(30%) Does the competitor have developed and defined muscular tone. Does the muscular line flow even from head to toe. Is the musculature of the competitor in correct proportion. There should be a V-shape from the shoulders to the waist. Is there a reasonable level of body fat. No body part should overwhelm the rest of the body. Muscle size should not look like that of a man. Deductions will be made for muscle too large or too striated. Should be no fat showing on waist, lower back or below buttocks.
2.) Symmetry -(30%) Each competitor should be in proper symmetry. No body part should stand out from the rest. There should be an even flow through the body. Each body part should be looked at for individual weakness. Small body parts, such as calves should be compared to large body parts, such as quads or shoulders. Emphasis should be on comparing body parts to the whole.
3.) Stage Presence -(15%) Does the competitor stand on stage with confidence. Does the competitor shake or stumble when making turns. Does the competitor stand up-right or lean to one side. Are her moves even and with a natural flow. Does she look feminine on stage or masculine. Bodybuilding poses are deducted for. Does she make eye contact with the judges and audience. Deduct for stances with legs apart. Judge for walk on and off stage as well.
4.) Smile -(5%) Did the competitor smile the whole time on stage. Did she look like she was enjoying herself. Did she make contact with the judges and audience with her smile. Was the smile consistent. Deduction for nervous reaction when smiling.
5.) Body Color -(5%) Is the body color even over the entire surface. Are there tan marks. If using body paint, is it applied evenly over entire body. Does the tone flow with the hair and suit color.
6.) Make-Up -(5%) Does the facial make-up look natural. Is the make-up overwhelming and not flow evenly with the body color.
7.) Hair -(5%) Does the hair style look natural on the competitor.
8.) Outfit and shoe selection -(5%) Does the suit match the hair and body color. Does the suit fit the competitor properly. Is it too loose or tight. Does it cover or reveal too much. Do the shoes match the suit.
E.) Each competitor will be judged on their own individual merits and weakness. Do not make comparisons with previous competitors. There will be many competitors that have the same score.
F.) Each judge will start with the highest score possible and give deductions accordingly.
G.) Each Judge will use a scoring system of 75.0 - 100.0, using whole point intervals.
H.) Head Judge will place all scores into the computer. The computer will take out the high and low score for each competitor. The remaining scores will be averaged and given an overall placing. (the highest average will receive 1st place in each round). Each competitor will be given a placing from their average of the two rounds.
JUDGING:
Each competitor will compete in the Swimwear round first. Each competitors score will be turned into a placing. Each competitor will then compete in the Fitnesswear round. This score will also be turned into a placing. At the end of both rounds, the competitors two placings will be added together and the winner will be the competitor with the lowest combined placing.
ENTRY:
Event entry will be determined by each individual competition. This information will include the total number of competitors allowed from each division, as well as, entry deadline, entry cost and qualifications. You can find all this information uder the Events listing below.
EVENTS:
2007 Galaxy Figure Championship:
There will NOT be an official Galaxy Figure event for 2006. UPC Entertainment is hosting the 2007 F.I.T.T. Expo that will focus on a Fit Model Search competition and Fashion Show. The Galaxy Figure and Nova Fitness Competitions will be featured at this event. All fitness and figure competitors are invited to compete in this new competition.
